A DIGITAL CALLING CARD

As they neared publication of their first anthology of short stories, this small group of writers needed a site that provided a context for the group and brief bios of the authors. ​Now, the site allows the group to publish calls for entry and to collect submissions, as well as to let people know what the group is working on and has accomplished.

The part of this ongoing project that has been the most fun has been working with the writers on the "coffee cup" images that represent each writer. As women, they feel that this is a novel way to say something about themselves that goes past who's wearing makeup and is photogenic. Finding the right image for Ulla, who is from Denmark was a great experience because the image needed to reflect her roots and inbuilt culture, but also her sophistication and writer's voice.
