​I'm part of a writing group that publishes local short stories set on Bainbridge Island, WA and am a poetry contributor to Behind a Door issues 006 and 008.

I also wrote a book! Worse I May Be Yet
​is a heavily-researched work of historical fiction set in San Francisco at the turn of the last century.

I LOVE FOOD

Besides being delicious, great food is inspiring and connects people. Pre-pandemic, I designed and maintained a website for those at Avalara to share dining recommendations with each other (places near the various offices across the world), and hosted family-style lunch events at my office! If you needed to grab a good breakfast before the workday when you're traveling? No problem. Your colleagues had your back.

Haikutography

When I first began exploring Kitsap county, some of the exurban landscapes were so exotic to me that taking pictures didn't seem like enough. Haiku to amplify the images became almost like the voices of the people absent in the photos. See the haikutography

I love to help women with emerging small businesses get up and running with a great website, and to make sure the website evolves as their story evolves and needs change. These enterprising, visionary women wear a million hats, and shouldn't have to be brand experts and webmasters on top of everything else as they get their businesses up and rocketing toward success!
